Guidance and Counseling Service

The Guidance and Counselling Service aims to help you with problems – indeed anything that is causing you concern. You might want help to find the right course, help to complete your course successfully, or help to move on to a job or a higher course of study. We provide a student counselling service for people with personal problems, great or small. We offer help, advice and guidance on such things as career planning; financial matters; coping with study; university entrance; CVs; interviews and any personal difficulties that may arise along the way.

Career Guidance

You can’t really decide what course you want to do unless you know what career you are Interested in, so it is worthwhile talking to someone about your long term plans. It is perfectly normal to be unsure about what career would suit you best. It may help you to use the Adult Directions computerised guidance programme, followed by a personal Careers consultation. Career guidance is available to all students in the Meridian College. Prospective students can use it for guidance in relation to our courses and our support services.

Student Counselling

Many people feel stressed out from time to time. We will listen, help you explore your thoughts and feelings and help you decide the most appropriate course of action. Our strength is that we don’t just supply you with information but we also help you look at it in terms of your own needs, fears and expectations. You’ll never know how good this service is until you try it.
There is no point in burdening yourself by trying to keep the lid on problems when you can use this energy to focus on where you want to go in life.

Inclusive Learning/Disability Services: Supporting all Students
Do you have a disability or medical condition?
Do you require support with your learning?

At our College, we welcome all learners and if you have a specific learning difficulty or disability we recommend that you discuss your support needs prior to enrolment. The Meridian College of London welcomes applications from students with a disability and/or learning difficulty. We recognise that coming to a large college can be a daunting experience for any student, but can be particularly challenging for those with a disability or medical condition.

The College subscribes to a very broad view of disability and actively encourages the inclusion of disabled students on to all of our courses. Our service places an emphasis upon the support required and not the disability. Please indicate on the application and enrolment forms if you would need to use our services and we will contact you directly.

The College will make reasonable adjustments as required to enable students with a disability to access educational and training opportunities provided by us.
