Diploma in Tourism Management

 

The Diploma in Tourism Management aims to provide students with a broad understanding of the operational aspects of the international tourism industry, together with knowledge of the basic principles which underpin the industry. This Diploma has been devised on the basis that students will attend a course of study of not less than 450 hours. Private study will be required over and above this figure.  Diploma is equivalent to the year 1 of BA(Hons).


Note: The students enrolled on this course will be restricted to work legally only 10 hours per week. 

Entry Requirements

  • Applicants must be able to prove that their secondary qualifications are of A-Level standard or that they possess a relevant Professional Qualification equivalent to NQF Level 3.
  • Candidates must have a minimum English certification comparable to an IELTS level of 5.5.

Assessment

Each of the modules has a two and a half hour examination, set and marked by CTH.

Progression

Holders of Diploma are eligible to entry into the Level 5 Advanced Diploma which is equivalent to the year 2 of BA(Hons).
