Advanced Diploma in Hotel Management

 

The Advanced Diploma in Hotel Management aims to provide an understanding of the managerial, decision making and leadership aspects of the international hotel industry.  In addition it is also designed to develop independent research and study skills which will be required when working at senior managerial level in the industry. The scheme has been devised on the basis that students will attend a course of study of not less than 450 contact hours. Private study will be required over and above this figure. Advanced Diploma is equivalent to the year 2 of BA(Hons).

Note: As per the UKBA guidelines the students enrolled on this course will be restricted to work legally only 10 hours per week. 

Entry Requirements

  • Applicants must be able to prove that they possess a NQF level 4 Diploma or any relevant Professional Qualification equivalent to NQF Level 4.
  • Candidates must have a minimum English certification comparable to an IELTS level of 5.5.

Assessment

Five of the six modules are assessed by an assignment and a three hour examination. The sixth module is assessed through a 5000 word Management Research Report. All assessments are marked by CTH.

Progression

Holders of Advanced Diploma are eligible for the entry into the final year of BA(Hons) at any reputed UK Universities.
